JCI USA is having the Celebration of the Century, celebrating 100 years as a National Organization, 100 years of making an impact by EMPOWERING young people to develop themselves, learn leadership skills and in turn, create positive change in their communities. Join the year-long celebration by attending National Events, and becoming a sponsor of the Celebration of the Century!

  • Attend National events to participate in the celebrations throughout the year:
    • State Presidents Retreat (for SP’s only),
    • North American Academy,
    • Year-End Convention (April 2020),
    • And National Meeting Fall 2020 (the culmination of our celebration!)

OPTIMIZE PRESS RELEASE OPPORTUNITIES

  • Use the 100th Anniversary as a PR Opportunity when talking to local government and the media

PLAN AN “IMPACT 100” PROJECT!

  • Plan a project that will impact at least 100 people in your community.
    • Consider partnering with other local organizations to conduct a larger project.
    • Talk with your local mayor / government officials to find out the root cause of problems that your chapter can identify solutions.

ADOPT THE “100 AWESOME PEOPLE” PROJECT!

  • Find and talk with 100 “awesome people” in your community!
    • Interview each of the 100 “Awesome People” with pre-determined questions.
    • Showcase these 100 citizens of your community on your chapter’s website and/or social media page; in press releases to media in your local community/region.
    • Use this interview time as a way to reach out to individuals about the chapter, identify potential new projects, identify potential new members, and continue to spread the Jaycee name! You never know – you may find the next ACTIVE MEMBER or TOYA nominee!!

SHARE OUR PODCASTS AND SOCIAL MEDIA ABOUT THE CELEBRATION OF THE CENTURY: #JCIUSA100

  • This is a year-long celebration that will include interviews with past and present members, history of the organization and our impact through the last 100 years as a National organization. Share the materials to your local social media outlets and websites.
